What issues do you help with?

We support clients with depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, stress, relationship issues, life transitions, and general support. We also offer faith-based counseling and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for treatment-resistant conditions.

How do I know that therapy is right for me?

Therapy can help you process and gain therapy, if you feel stuck or overwhelmed or unsure how to proceed. Many people find therapy helpful even if they aren’t experiencing something significantly distressing.

What happens in the first session?

In the first session, we will spend time getting to know each other, talking about the therapy process as a whole and developing goals for therapy. We’ll explain how we can best support you.

Do you offer in-person and online?

We see clients both in person in our Ventura, CA office and online by secure telehealth throughout California. You can choose what works best for you.

What are your fees and do you take insurance?

We are in-network with a majority of the common insurances. Many clients also use out-of-network benefits or pay privately. We may provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement upon request.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy focuses on healing, symptom relief, processing the past and treating mental health conditions usually related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges and other life challenges. The goal of therapy is to reduce stress, improve functioning and promote psychological healing. Coaching focuses on growth, performance and future goals, emphasizing action, accountability and skill-building. This is appropriate for people who feel generally stable but want to improve certain areas of life. Coaching does not treat mental health conditions.

What is faith-based therapy?

Faith-based therapy integrates therapy tools with biblical principles, prayer, and faith-based perspectives. This can help you grow both spiritually and emotionally.

What is ketamine-assisted psychotherapy?

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy combines the use of ketamine (under medical supervision) and subsequent therapeutic techniques to process insights and apply them to daily life. The combination can accelerate healing and form new patterns of behaviors as well as improvement in mood.
