Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps individuals identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, overwhelm, and emotional distress.

Many people find themselves stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-criticism, catastrophic thinking, avoidance, or patterns that no longer feel supportive. CBT helps bring greater awareness to these patterns while developing practical tools to respond differently.

At The Therapy Cove, we use CBT in a way that feels collaborative, supportive, and personalized—not rigid or overly clinical. Rather than simply “thinking positively,” CBT can help clients better understand the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, nervous system responses, and behaviors so they can begin creating meaningful and lasting change.

CBT can be especially helpful for anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, perfectionism, and high-functioning overwhelm.
